This unusually shaped pepper takes its name from the square hats worn by Roman
Catholic cardinals. While spicy hot when crimson red, the green fruits are mild and are a key ingredient in the cuisine of Brazil’s Amazon jungles as shown in the photo (top). Plants grow into tall spreading bushes about 3 to 4 feet tall. 25 seeds $4.00
