Black Shackamaxon Pole Bean Phaseolus vulgaris

One of the rarest of all the Lenape pole beans, this heirloom was preserved by the Quaker Larkin family of Chester County, Pennsylvania as a variant form of Blue Shackamaxon. 8-to-10-foot vines, pods ripen maroon red.  Seeds black. Highly productive and best grown Native American style on corn hills. Minimum 25 seeds. $5.00. Germination 96%.  Packed for 2024. LOTRW2023-BN097.
