Black Valentine Bush Bean 
Phaseolus vulgaris 
            Called Black Valentine because of its distinctive black seeds, this classic snap bean traces to the eighteenth century. Harvest as a snap bean when the pods are 2 ½ inches long.  This stringless version was introduced in 1897 and improved again in 1933.  Minimum 25 seeds.
