From the open market in Palapye, Botswana, this vigorous heirloom cowpea grows on rambling 7 to 8 foot vines that spread across the ground like watermelons.  So, allow plenty of room or grow as a small field crop. White seeds with brown speckles, when young and green, are buttery, some of the best tasting we have grown.
