China Yellow Bush Bean Phaseolus vulgaris

Despite its name, this classic bush bean did not originate in China.  It takes its name from the fact that the beans are normally Nankeen yellow, although the color intensity has a great deal to do with the minerals in the soil.  The bean has many other aliases and was mentioned in Europe as early as 1821. Introduced to the US in 1854.  Used as a soup bean or for baking in casseroles.  Its presumed origin is South America. 90-100 days. Minimum 20 seeds. Germination 94%.  LOTBW23-BN056.
