Dzit-Bacal Ancient Mayan Popcorn  
Zea mays
This extremely old popcorn came to us in 1998 from a Mayan horticulturist in Campeche, Mexico.   It was one of the corns sacred to several Mayan deities.   This corn originated in Yucatan over three thousand years ago but is now adapted to non-tropical latitudes.
