Gaspé Flint Corn

Zea mays

We acquired this rare dwarf corn from a member of the Mi’gmaq Nation in Quebec, where it has been grown for many centuries.  It was specially selected for its short season traits as well as its diminutive size.  Cobs measure 4 to 5 inches in length, yellow kernels in 8 rows. 60 days from planting to harvest.  Plants grow 2 to 3 feet tall and can be raised in tubs. Featured in Dr. Weaver’s Flavors from the Garden (Rizzoli 2021).  100 seeds $6.00
