Golden Feverfew
Tanacetum parthenium “Aureum”
This eye-catching garden potherb is being cultivated today more for its stagey visual effect than for its equally or perhaps more important culinary and medical uses. This is one herb that does both: showy decorative effects as well as old-time materia medica.
Unlike common feverfew, which can grow tall and rangy, this garden gem develops small clumps of highly decorative chartreuse leaves. It stands out in any garden but is spectacular when interplanted with Viola labradorica (purple leaves, the contrast is a winner). The flowers resemble small daisies like other feverfews, but most seed sellers describe the herb as perennial. Yes and no. We prefer to sell this as a biennial with the idea that it not only self-seeds, just renew the plants every 2 or 3 years to keep the plant colony healthy. 50 Seeds. POTH112
