This richly colored strain of golden chard was developed during the 1930s by Dr. Weaver’s grandfather.  Selected for its intense golden-orange color, H. Ralph Weaver’s chard has served a breeding stock for several seed companies in the US.   With thick celery-like stems, and yellow green leaves, this chard is not only striking as an ornamental, it’s culinary properties are also first rate.
