Daucus carota 
Mentioned commercially as early as 1894, this richly flavored yellow heirloom variety originated in the Doubs River valley of the Jura Mountains in eastern France. Best for culinary purposes harvested young when 8 to 10 inches long.  As the carrots mature, they grow thicker and more conical in shape.  Minimum 50 seeds, $4.50. Packed for 2026.  Germination 94%.
