Matthews Eastern Shore Lima Phaseolus lunatus

This super-productive old-time pole lima traces to the Matthews family of Modest Town, Virginia. Grown by them since the 1930s, it is a local strain of the Carolina Lima or White Sieva cultivated in the Chesapeake area since the early 1700s.  It is normally harvested as a green shelling lima.  10-to-16-foot vines. 80 days. Minimum 20 seeds.  Germination 97%.  LOTRG23-BN233.
