RED SPINACH AMARANTH
Amaranthus dubius
This popular amaranth is a cornerstone in Indian regional cookery, although pure seed is difficult to obtain. Our organically grown seed stock came from Bangladesh and is one of the purest strains available. The soft, succulent leaves are just like spinach, and Indian cookbooks contain hundreds of recipes on how to prepare it. Grows 2 ½ to 3 feet tall. Best harvested young for food. Minimum 200 seeds. Germination 96%.
