            This rare 17th century variety with medieval origins was brought to England from Aleppo, Syria in the 1600s.  It became one of the most popular varieties during the 1700s and is generally described as “semi-cos” meaning open-headed romaine.  Minimum 30 seeds, $5.00.  Germination 96%.
