Tom Thumb Pea
Pisum sativum
Named after Charles Sherwood Stratton (1838-1883), a Connecticut-born dwarf who performed in the circus of P. T. Barnum. This namesake pea growing only 8 inches tall was introduced in the early 1850s by David Landreth of Philadelphia. Due to its diminutive size it is ideal for tub or window box culture. It remains the quintessential American petit pois. Minimum 30 seeds $4.00
