Cross Country Nurseries & ChilePlants.com welcomes you to the farm’s open house for a fundraising event supporting the Roughwood Center for Heritage Seedways, whose mission is to maintain an expansive heirloom seed collection to preserve heritage culture and cuisine.  We hope you’ll enjoy the afternoon of fun on the farm to learn more about Roughwood’s mission and how to grow and preserve peppers – an incredibly diverse food crop with crucial cultural significance worldwide.  We are exploring peppers:  Growing, saving, pickling, and tasting.  Roughwood Center for Heritage Seedways will sell heritage seeds and books by William Woys Weaver.  Come and meet the author.
